The Spirit of Taiwan: (Mazu Pilgrimage)
Every year in Taiwan, faith begins to move.
For 9 days and 8 nights, hundreds of thousands of pilgrims walk over 300 kilometers, following the sacred journey of Mazu, the beloved sea goddess many call the Mother of Taiwan.
Step by step, through cities and villages, their journey is filled with hope, gratitude, and devotion.
This year, Mayur Indian Kitchen also joined the journey—kneeling in respect and sharing Indian food with pilgrims, becoming part of this beautiful tradition.
Along the road, kindness appears everywhere.
Local residents offer free food, drinks, and even medical care to pilgrims — a tradition known as Ren Qing Wei, the warmth of human kindness.
And in this moment, the experience becomes something even deeper.
Not only devotion to Mazu, but people sharing kindness with people—a powerful reminder of humanity.
Because 媽祖繞境 is more than a pilgrimage.
It is the spirit of Taiwan — faith, compassion, and community walking together.
